Welcome to the ITF2013!

It is truly a pleasure to welcome you to the 42nd International Trombone Festival. This annual opportunity to meet and share with other trombonists brings us together for a variety of reasons including performances, exhibits, competitions, lectures and many more. I am confident that you will leave the ITF2013 inspired, and your passion and enthusiasm for the trombone will be stronger than ever.

Building on the success of previous years, ITF artists will work closely with the Junior ITF participants at the Trade Center. This is a unique opportunity for young trombone enthusiasts to work with world-class artists and is sure to leave students inspired and excited about our instrument.

The Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University is proud to host the 2013 Festival. The world-class facilities of the $78 million RiverCenter for the Performing Arts will provide a perfect setting for the performances, clinics and lectures. The Columbus Convention and Trade Center in the historic Iron Works building on the Chattahoochee River will be the ideal location for the exhibits, Junior ITF and more.

Thanks to Jon Bohls, Chris Dobbins, the ITF and ITA Boards, the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau, and all of the volunteers for their help in preparing the ITF2013. We look forward to welcoming you to Columbus, Georgia, where amazing facilities, southern hospitality and a vibrant arts scene will leave you with lasting memories of the 2013 International Trombone Festival.
